In 2025, price of Easter food basket increased by around 6%

In 2025, the cost of the Easter food basket in Poland has increased by around 6% compared to the previous year. Eggs have seen the steepest rise—15–17%—due to bird flu outbreaks and reduced supply. Prices of poultry products and sausages rose by 9–10%, while pork remains cheaper in raw form but more expensive as processed goods. Bread prices increased slightly due to higher labor and energy costs. Butter is 21% more expensive, despite earlier price drops. On the brighter side, milk, curd cheese, and especially sugar (down 39%) are cheaper. Overall, a typical Easter basket will cost about 10% more than in 2024, driven by inflation and production costs.
