Industrial production in Poland down by 4.4% y/y in June

Industrial production in Poland fell by 4.4 percent  y/ y in June 2020, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported. In monthly terms, production in Poland increased by 9.9 percent in June.

At the same time, in annual terms, industrial production decreased by 12.3% in the euro area and by 11.6% in the EU as a whole.

The Central Statistical Office (GUS) previously informed that the sold production of industrial enterprises increased by 0.5 percent y/y in June 2020. In monthly terms, an increase was recorded by 13.9 percent. After eliminating the influence of seasonal factors, in June this year sold industrial production was 4.9 percent lower than in the corresponding month of the previous year and 9.7 percent higher than in April this year.
