Industrial production in Poland fell by 4.7% y/y in March: Eurostat

Industrial production in Poland fell by 4.7% year-on-year in March 2020, reported Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office. On a monthly basis, production in Poland fell by 7.3 percent in March.

Throughout the EU, industrial production in March fell by 10.4 percent month-on-month and fell by 11.8 percent in annual terms.

Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) earlier informed that sold production of industrial enterprises fell in March by 2.3 percent year-on-year, after eliminating the impact of seasonal factor. In March 2020, sold production of industry was 4.8 percent lower than in the same month last year and 7.2 percent lower than in February this year.
