Industrial production in Poland up by 30.2% y/y in May

Industrial production in Poland increased by 30.2 percent y/y in May 2021, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported. In monthly terms, production in Poland increased by 1.6 percent.

The Central Statistical Office (GUS) informed earlier that the sold production of industrial enterprises increased by 29.8 percent y/y in May 2021. In monthly terms, a decrease of 0.8 percent was recorded.

The seasonally-adjusted industrial production in the euro area fell by 1 percent on a monthly basis in May 2021, Eurostat also reported. In the EU as a whole, production decreased by 0.9 percent on this basis. In annual terms, industrial production increased by 20.5 percent in the euro area and by 21.2 percent in the EU as a whole.
