Industrial production will slow down to 3.5% y/y in June

The increase in sold industrial production will amount to 3.5 percent y/y in June (against 7.7 percent y/y in May this year), experts from the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology (MPiT) predict. According to preliminary data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), sold industrial production in May was 7.7 percent higher than in the corresponding month of 2018. After taking into account the factors of a seasonal nature, production in May increased by 5.1 percent.

Polish industrial sector has again shown high resistance to global turmoil related to the weak economic situation in the eurozone and trade tensions between the US and China. Domestic enterprises have been increasing their activity against unfavorable moods in the business of our main trading partner - Germany, the experts stated.
