Consumer inflation was 6.8 percent on an annual basis in October 2021, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported. Compared to the previous month, the prices of goods and services increased by 1.1 percent.

This time, the market consensus precisely predicted the amount of inflation calculated according to the annual basis. The earlier estimates of the Central Statistical Office proved to be equally precise. Let us remind you that in the flash estimate of the GUS data it had previously announced that inflation was 6.8 percent annualized in October this year (against 5.9 percent y/y in September).
