Inflation HICP in July in Poland one of the highest in the entire EU

According to the European statistical office Eurostat, HICP inflation in Poland reached 10.3 percent y/y in July 2023, compared to 11 percent y/y inflation in the previous month. Monthly, the index decreased by 0.3 percent.

"The lowest annual rates were observed in Belgium (1.7 percent), Luxembourg (2 percent), and Spain (2.1 percent). The highest annual rates were recorded in Hungary (17.5 percent), Slovakia, and Poland (both 10.3 percent). Compared to June, the annual rate decreased in nineteen member states, remained stable in one, and increased in seven," as stated in the release.

In the entire EU, HICP inflation stood at 6.1 percent y/y in July.
