Fewer Poles fear retirement, and more are saving for it, according to an ING Bank Śląski survey. In 2022, 42% of respondents expressed anxiety about old age, compared to 33% in 2025—a 25% drop in three years. Meanwhile, 47% now save for retirement, up from 39% in 2024 and 34% in 2022, with ING’s retirement product users doubling in that time.

Main concerns include poor health (55%), lack of money (50%), and loss of independence (24%), while positives include more free time (43%) and fulfilling dreams (40%). Over a third save PLN 101–500 monthly, and one in twenty saves over PLN 2,000. Awareness of retirement savings tools like PPK and IKE has risen by about 10 pp, though 55% have never checked their projected pension.
