July wages rise 10.6%, employment dips
In July 2024, the average salary in Poland's enterprise sector (companies with over 9 employees) grew by 10.6% year-on-year, reaching PLN 8,278.63, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Month-on-month, wages increased by 1.6%. Meanwhile, employment in this sector fell by 0.4% year-on-year but saw a slight 0.1% month-on-month increase, with a total of 6.49 million full-time positions. The market had anticipated a 10.8% year-on-year wage increase and a 0.4% decline in employment
