KIR processed 196.73 mln transactions worth PLN 805.43 bln in Elixir system in March
In March 2025, Poland’s National Clearing House (KIR) processed 196.73 million transactions worth PLN 805.43 billion via the Elixir system, marking a 1% increase in volume and 8% in value year-over-year. The highest daily activity was on March 10, with 18.59 million transactions totaling PLN 52.4 billion. In the Euro Elixir system, 4.57 million transactions worth €31.31 billion were processed—up 6% and 9% respectively from March 2024.
The Express Elixir system, which enables instant transfers and BLIK payments, handled 52.67 million transactions worth PLN 25.68 billion, up 25% in volume and 22% in value. Overall in Q1 2025, all systems showed growth in transaction values, highlighting continued expansion in Poland’s digital payments infrastructure.
