Korean Tanks to Be Produced in Poland Shortly

"I hope that within the next few weeks, a fundamentally important agreement will be concluded, resulting in the actual polonization of K2 tanks, meaning their production will be located in Poland," said President Andrzej Duda in South Korea.
During a briefing in South Korea, where he visited Hyundai Rotem facilities, President Duda expressed hope for a swift finalization of the agreement with Hyundai. The outcome of this agreement would involve relocating the production of K2 tanks to Poland.
"This is what we have been talking about from the very beginning," emphasized the president, highlighting the significance of the agreement for the Polish defense sector.
Negotiations between the Korean side and the Ministry of National Defense have been ongoing for some time and appear to be nearing completion. President Duda noted that producing K2 tanks in Poland would not only be an important step towards strengthening Polish armed forces but could also open up export opportunities for other countries.
