Well-known strongman and MMA fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski admits that the pandemic had a negative impact primarily on his professional life. In the last six months, MMA events were either canceled or they took the format of a studio show, which is a completely different emotion. Strongman also emphasizes that he is preparing for the next cage fight, which is scheduled for December.
After a long break caused by the pandemic, the first MMA gala in Poland, i.e. Babylon MMA 13, took place in early June. The event was a studio event. Mariusz Pudzianowski did not take part in it, but he followed the event closely not only because of the quality of the competition, but also the way it was organized. Strongman admits that martial arts in the era of coronavirus have a slightly different character.
"The pandemic changed my lifestyle because training and the entire shell were cut to a minimum. Well, you just have to get used to what is. It has definitely changed a lot," Mariusz Pudzianowski said.
However, he assured that he had not for a moment given up taking care of his form. He still spends a lot of time on individual exercises and is waiting for the next fight.
"As far as my immediate plans are concerned, probably - if nothing changes and there are no exacerbations - I plan to enter the cage in December and have another duel. We will see what will come of it,” the MMA fighter added.
'Pudzian’ fought for the last time in a cage at KSW 51 in November 2020.. His rival was Erko Jun, knocked out in the second round.
