As reported by Radio RMF FM, the singer Dorota R. – known as Doda – was charged on Tuesday. Her ex-husband, the film producer Emil S., has been detained and is currently being questioned.
According to RMF FM, Dorota R. is suspected of, inter alia, aiding a crime under article 300 of the Criminal Code, which says "the frustration or reduction of the satisfaction of creditors". The singer is threatened with up to 8 years in prison.
Dorota R. was not detained. As reported Onet, Dorota R. was ordered to submit a surety of PLN 100,000 and a regular appearance at the police station without the possibility to go abroad.
"As a creative producer, creating a film from A to Z, I did my duty, bringing the finished work. Ba! Not just any, because it was breaking cinema records in 2021. The second producer, my ex-husband's task, was to bring the budget for it, finalize the contracts with investors and pay the crew. He got a hit, and I got problems," the singer wrote in an Instagram post.
