Cycling is gaining popularity as a practical alternative to driving – it’s cheap, eco-friendly, and good for your health. Riding a bike helps reduce fuel costs, avoids parking fees, and cuts down on emissions, all while supporting physical fitness.
Actress Anna Powierza is among those who have embraced the two-wheeled lifestyle, especially in central Warsaw.
“I love all sports, including cycling. Since I moved to the city center, the bike has become my main mode of transport, when the weather allows. Considering Warsaw's traffic jams, it’s the fastest and friendliest way to get around,” she said.
Powierza appreciates the freedom of avoiding crowded public transport and using her time efficiently.
“The longest commute I had was 15 km one way, but that was outside Warsaw. Usually, my routes are much shorter – just enough to stay quick, convenient, and green,” she added.
