Izabella Krzan, host of the new edition of TVN’s Afryka Express, says leading the adventure reality show was a dream come true – though far from a luxury getaway. The presenter accompanied contestants racing through Tanzania and Kenya, setting them extreme challenges while sharing in their hardships.
“I’ve always loved this format and watched every season. But this wasn’t all-inclusive; it was a wild adventure. Every day meant a new location, waking up at 4:30 a.m., and running ahead of participants. Sometimes I was literally racing them to the finish line,” Krzan said.
The host admits the demanding schedule – weeks on the road with six suitcases and no days off – was a huge test, but one she embraced. She says she bonded with contestants, including Edyta Zając, Wiktoria Gąsiewska, Izu Ugonoh, and others, despite the competitive setting.
Krzan believes her role as a tough but empathetic guide will resonate with viewers. Afryka Express airs Monday to Thursday at 8:55 p.m. on TVN.
“We’ll keep working hard to promote the show. It’s truly high-quality television,” Krzan added, noting she continues her reporting role for Dzień Dobry TVN.
