Art sales at auctions in Poland once again exceeded PLN 400 million in 2025, confirming the market’s stable, mature phase. According to Artinfo.pl, total auction turnover reached PLN 427 million — slightly below the 2024 record, but marking the third consecutive year above PLN 400 million. While growth is no longer as explosive as during the pandemic boom, activity remains high. Around 50,000 artworks were offered, with 24,000 sold, and sales effectiveness rose by nearly 20% y/y.
The number of auctions increased by 15% to 568, showing greater operational intensity by auction houses. DESA Unicum maintained its clear leadership with over 50% market share, followed by Polswiss Art, while several mid-sized houses recorded double-digit growth.
