In the current EU seven-year period, the region's development will be supported under the Regional Fund "Fundusze Europejskie dla Mazowsza 2021–2027", with a value of 2.1 billion euros, or approx. PLN 9.5 billion. Recruitment for the first competitions has already taken place, and more are being prepared.
In recent years, thanks to EU funds, thousands of investments have been implemented in Mazovia, including the construction of the Modlin Airport, the Vistula Boulevards in Płock, and the western bypass of Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
“EU funds have contributed to the increase in the competitiveness of our companies, but also of the whole of Mazovia, in various segments and fields, such as IT, the chemical industry, the creative industries, as well as tourism or hotel services. All of this, supported by EU funds, means that today our companies, our services, our institutions are simply at a very high level and are competitive,” Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship, said.
