According to data obtained from the Ministry of Finance, outstanding tax liabilities across the country at the end of the first half of this year amounted to just over PLN 121 billion. This represents a decrease of 0.9 percent y/y. The statistics also show that the largest tax arrears were held by residents of the Mazovian voivodeship, totaling slightly over PLN 54.3 billion.
In the top five most indebted voivodeships, we can also see Silesian, Greater Poland, Lower Silesian, and Lesser Poland voivodeships. Their debts ranged from nearly PLN 5.8 billion to over PLN 13.5 billion. The rankings were rounded out by the Świętokrzyskie, Opole, and Warmian-Masurian voivodeships, with debts ranging from almost PLN 1.3 billion to over PLN 1.4 billion.
