Min Def and Min Fin searching for funding for East Shield Project
The Polish Ministry of National Defense (MON) is collaborating with the Ministry of Finance (MF) to seek funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the "Eastern Shield" project. Initial investment activities are expected to start next year. Deputy Defense Minister Paweł Bejda emphasized the need to identify the military's requirements for this multi-faceted, inter-ministerial initiative.
The project may utilize state-owned properties, with private lands considered in cooperation with relevant authorities. The estimated value of the program is at least PLN 10 billion, reflecting its significant scope and importance to national defense strategy.
