Min Def: next year Poland will reach PLN 200 bln for defense

At the Warsaw Security Forum, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that Poland will allocate 200 billion PLN to defense next year, equal to 4.8% of GDP. He stressed that, amid growing threats from Russia, effective air and anti-drone defense is vital. Referring to recent Russian drone intrusions into Polish airspace and fighter jets violating Estonian skies, he highlighted the need to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank, including the EU co-financed “anti-drone wall” along its border.
Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized unity among Western allies in supporting Ukraine and underlined that NATO members must boost defense spending to deter Russian aggression and secure all alliance territory.
