Min of Def: restrictions being prepared to keep Chinese vehicles out of military facilities
Poland’s Ministry of National Defence (Ministry of National Defence, MON) is working on restrictions that would limit or ban the entry of Chinese-made vehicles into protected military units and facilities. The move is driven by security concerns over data collected by modern cars, including sensors, cameras, and location systems, as well as the risk of connecting official phones or data carriers to vehicle software. Polish counterintelligence has already issued guidelines addressing risks linked to Chinese-produced devices.
The issue gains urgency as Chinese cars rapidly increase their market share in Poland. Analysts warn that data gathered near military bases or critical infrastructure could be valuable to hostile intelligence services and pose broader national security risks.
