Poland and Taiwan held economic consultations in Taipei to strengthen cooperation in microelectronics, new technologies, and market access. The Polish Accreditation Center and Taiwan Accreditation Foundation signed a collaboration agreement. Deputy Minister Michał Jaros emphasized Poland's interest in forming industrial clusters for Taiwanese small and medium enterprises and expanding market access for Polish products, particularly agri-food items.
During his visit, Jaros met leaders of Taiwanese firms, including Chi Mei Food, which plans to establish a food sector factory in Poland. Trade between the countries totaled €2.7 billion in 2023, with Taiwan exporting semiconductors and electronics, while Poland supplied machinery, food, and pharmaceuticals. Over 30 Taiwanese firms operate in Poland, with investments worth €70 million.
