Poland’s economy is “shifting into a higher gear,” Finance Minister Andrzej Domański said, citing new data from Statistics Poland (GUS). The unemployment rate fell to 3.2% in Q2 2026 from 3.3% in the previous quarter, giving Poland the third-lowest rate in the EU, while employment increased to 17.23 million people. New industrial orders rose 10.6% y/y in July, marking a second consecutive month of double-digit growth. Domański also pointed to stronger investment activity.

Corporate investment expenditures increased 13.7% y/y in the first half of 2026, reaching PLN 100.2 billion. He said the combination of rising employment, industrial demand and investment indicates that Poland’s economic expansion is gaining momentum.
