The Ministry of Energy presented an updated and expanded draft document "Poland's energy policy until 2040 - a strategy for the development of the fuel and energy sector", the ministry said on the website. Energy Minister Krzysztof Tchórzewski told the Polish Press Agency (PAP) that the cost of transformation in the power sector was estimated at €140 billion. "The PEP 2040 project is a strategy ensuring Poland's energy security in the future. Thanks to it, we will be able to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 45 percent compared to 1990," - Tchórzewski told PAP.
