Morawiecki: There is no risk of polexit

“There is no risk of polexit, it is a kind of political fantasy; we are a strong country in a strong European Union and without Poland it is difficult to imagine the Union,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assured on Monday. The head of government was asked during a press conference in Miedziana Gora whether it is worth risking Polexit for the SN Disciplinary Chamber.

He added that the best policy towards the EU is Eurorealism, i.e. a policy that assumes, on the one hand, a very clear defense of our interests, but also “defending those walls, those places where with our accession to the European Union we did not agree and to transfer competencies to the European institutions.

The Prime Minister pointed out that it is necessary to bear in mind that the EU is a constant dialogue, compromise, talks on regulatory, political, financial, budgetary, investment, and economic issues.

“This dialogue, these talks are of course conducted with the European Union. Generally, Poland is not only doing well in the EU but also will do well for sure. We are a strong country in a strong European Union and without Poland, it is difficult to imagine the European Union”. emphasized the Prime Minister. (forsal.pl)
