More Pets Join Polish Families on Holiday Trips

Poland ranks among Europe’s top pet-loving nations – nearly every second household owns a dog or cat. More and more pet owners are choosing to bring their furry companions on holiday, with one in five already doing so. Pets on vacation are no longer a novelty but a standard part of travel plans for many Polish families.
The presence of animals in everyday life has become natural, and treating them as full family members reflects a key social shift. According to data from BIG InfoMonitor, every fifth Pole now includes their pet in holiday plans. Hotels, restaurants, and transport lines are becoming increasingly pet-friendly. The insurance industry is now responding to this trend as well.
“Poles love their pets and treat them like family. That’s why many prefer to travel with them rather than leave them behind,” Ilona Zaremba-Choim from Warta said.
The company introduced a “Pet on the Go” package as part of its standard travel insurance – the first of its kind on the market. It provides real help in emergencies, such as vet visits or transporting an injured animal.
