MPiT expects economic slowdown to be mild

The Ministry of Enterprise and Technology (MPiT)  expects a slowdown in the Polish economy to be soft as companies' revenues keep growing and the decline in profitability decelerates. The anticipated slowdown will not threaten the sustainability of high economic growth, MPiT said, referring to the Central Statistical Data (GUS) data for the first half of 2019.

The net financial result of non-financial enterprises totaled PLN 65.3 billion and was nominally 4.6 percent higher than a year ago. The revenues of companies increased by 7.1 percent with an increase in costs of 7.2 percent.
