In July 2024, core inflation in Poland rose to 3.8% y/y from 3.6% in June, and on a month-to-month basis, it increased by 0.4%, compared to 0.2% in the previous month, according to the National Bank of Poland (NBP). Specific figures include:

  • Excluding administered prices: 2.8% y/y (up from 2.5%).
  • Excluding most volatile prices: 4.6% y/y (up from 3.3%).
  • Excluding food and energy prices: 3.8% y/y (up from 3.6%).
  • The 15% trimmed mean: 4.2% y/y (up from 3.1%).

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July 2024 was 4.2% Y/Y and 1.4% month-to-month, compared to 2.6% y/y and 0.1% month-to-month in June.
