NBP: M3 money supply increased by 9.4% y/y at end of January

Poland’s money supply (M3) totaled PLN 2,469.07 billion at the end of January 2025, according to the National Bank of Poland (NBP). This represents a 0.4% decline m/m but a 9.4% increase y/y, slightly exceeding the 9.2% market consensus.
Net foreign assets grew by 3.1% m/m to PLN 897.28 billion, marking a 19.9% y/y increase. Meanwhile, the amount of cash in circulation (excluding bank vaults) fell 0.4% m/m to PLN 397.52 billion, but still registered a 10.6% y/y growth.
