New army aviation base planned in Lublin
The Ministry of National Defense, Lublin city, Lublin Voivodeship, and Lublin Airport signed a letter of intent for a permanent Army Aviation helicopter base at Lublin Airport in Świdnik, announced Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. The decision reflects a commitment to strengthen Eastern Poland's defense. The base, spanning 100 hectares, signifies both symbolic and strategic importance, serving as a hub for modernized Army Aviation helicopters and pilot training. Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized the collaboration between the government and local authorities, highlighting the potential to integrate security, tourism, and economic functions in the region.
