New high-rise office building to be built on former Ilmet office building site in Warsaw

A new high-rise office building with service facilities will replace the former Ilmet Tower in Warsaw. The City of Warsaw has issued a building permit for the project. The postmodern Ilmet office building, constructed between 1995 and 1997, will soon be demolished to make way for Warsaw One, a skyscraper originally designed in 2011 by Danish architectural firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen. The tower is planned to reach 188 meters, though the final design may differ from the earlier concept.
The permit, requested by ORI Development in 2018, was approved on October 7, 2025. The project includes an underground garage and full site development around plots on Wola district, following environmental assessments covering noise, emissions, and urban impact.
