New orders in the industry in January 2020 increased by 5.5 percent on an annual basis, after a decrease of 3.7 percent y/y December, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) announced.
On a monthly basis, orders in January increased by as much as 19.5 percent, after a decrease of 3.1 percent a month earlier.
The index of new orders in the industry shows the development of demand for products and services. It is used to evaluate future production.
