Nowy Wełnowiec project moves forward
Following the September 2024 approval of the local zoning plan, the Nowy Wełnowiec development is entering its implementation phase. The 30-hectare site, formerly home to the Silesia Metallurgical Plant, will be transformed into a modern mixed-use district, primarily residential, with nearly a third dedicated to green spaces.
The Capital Park Group, a major player in the Polish property market for over 20 years, is overseeing the project, with architectural design by JEMS Architekci studio. The project will include the renovation of the early 20th-century compressor house, which will become a landmark in the northern part of Katowice.
