Number of new job offers fell by 9%

In April 2025, Polish employers posted 249,177 job offers, down 9% y/y and 7% m/m, according to Grant Thornton. The spring job market weakened unexpectedly despite usually strong seasonal hiring. Between March and June, the number of offers fell by 42,000, reaching the lowest level in 2025, comparable to lockdown-era 2020. Most sectors saw declines—especially physical labor, marketing (–18%), and finance (–12%)—with healthcare as an exception, showing a 27% increase in job postings.
Experts cite uncertainty from factors like the Ukraine war and U.S. tariffs, leading to employer caution and stalled investments. The hiring market now faces stagnation, with managers hesitating amid unpredictable conditions. Only healthcare shows consistent recruitment demand.
