Nutricia will build medical food production plant near Opole for PLN 230 mln

Nutricia, a part of the Danone Group, will invest PLN 230 million in the production of specialized medical nutrition in its factory in Opole, according to Artur Ludwiczak, CEO of Nutricia Poland. This investment will create employment opportunities for 50 people.
Ludwiczak stated that Nutricia is increasingly focusing on developing products for the elderly and those with special dietary needs. The Opole factory will produce enteral nutrition products, catering to these specific nutritional requirements.
The construction of the facility will officially begin next week, with production set to commence in early 2025. Nutricia currently employs approximately 800 people in Opole.
In Poland, Danone operates in three areas: dairy and plant-based products (Danone), water and beverages (Żywiec Zdrój), and specialized nutrition, which includes infant and toddler food and medical nutrition (Nutricia). Across 10 locations, Danone employs over 3,000 people.
