“Mr. Altman's departure is the result of a thoughtful assessment process by the board, which concluded that he was not consistently honest in his communication,” we read in a statement published on the company's blog.
According to board members, this made it difficult for him to perform his duties.
“The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI,” the board added in the statement.
