OpenAI board fires Sam Altman, creator of ChatGPT
The creator of ChatGPT has been forced to step down as CEO of OpenAI and from its board. The reason? "He was not honest." The news even surprised the editorial staff of the best American technology websites.
“Mr. Altman's departure is the result of a thoughtful assessment process by the board, which concluded that he was not consistently honest in his communication,” we read in a statement published on the company's blog.
According to board members, this made it difficult for him to perform his duties.
“The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI,” the board added in the statement.
