OpenAI has acquired Poland-based Neptune.ai, a startup specializing in tools for monitoring and analyzing AI model training. Neptune, originally spun out of Deepsense in 2018, had already been working closely with OpenAI, and its technology will now be fully integrated into OpenAI’s training ecosystem to accelerate experimentation and improve model performance. The company employs over 50 people and has raised around USD 18 million from global and Polish venture funds, with TDJ Pitango Ventures as its largest financial shareholder.

Neptune will phase out external services by March 2026 while supporting clients through migration. The acquisition highlights Poland’s growing presence in global AI innovation.
