Orange Polska begins final state of 3G shutdown, will disappear at end of year

Orange Polska has begun the final phase of shutting down its 3G network, which will be completely phased out by the end of 2025. The operator announced that 3G services will be replaced by LTE, offering higher mobile internet speeds and improved call quality through VoLTE. In the last quarter of 2025, 3G will be switched off in southern Poland (Lower Silesia, Silesia, Małopolska, Podkarpacie) as well as in Poznań and Wrocław. The process will also conclude in October in Warsaw and the Tri-City area.
Orange stated that the modernization aligns with its commitment to expand newer technologies. The company is Poland’s leading telecom provider and part of the WIG20 index.
