Orlen has discovered a new natural gas field named Siedlemin, located 3 km underground near Jarocin. The field contains approximately PLN 235 million m³ of gas, enough to meet Poland’s peak demand for three days or summer needs for ten days. Due to existing infrastructure in the region, production can start quickly.

The discovery was made as part of a joint project between Orlen and Orlen Upstream Polska, with drilling carried out by Exalo Drilling. Orlen already operates three gas fields in the Jarocin district and plans further exploration. In 2023, Orlen extracted 7.1 billion m³ of gas, covering 42% of Poland’s demand, with 1.7 billion m³ from Greater Poland.
