Orlen launches first installation terminal for wind farms in Poland

Orlen Neptun has opened Poland’s first offshore wind farm installation terminal in Świnoujście. The facility will serve as a key hub for offshore projects, including the BC-Wind farm, and will enable the installation of dozens of turbines annually. It will also be available to other European operators. The terminal is designed to accommodate the largest jack-up and heavy-lift vessels and can handle heavy wind turbine components and offshore transformer platforms.
The first long-term lease agreement was signed with Ocean Winds. The investment aligns with the ORLEN2035 strategy, which aims to achieve 12.8 GW of installed renewable energy capacity within a decade, half of which will come from offshore wind. The terminal is also expected to boost regional development and support local businesses.
