Notification of billions of losses filed with prosecutor's office following audits
Orlen announced that audits and investigations into management decisions made between January 2016 and February 2024 revealed losses amounting to tens of billions of złotys. So far, 118 control activities have been carried out, including 15 forensic audits by external firms and 103 internal audits. These actions uncovered numerous questionable transactions and poor investment decisions by former executives. 64 audits have been completed, while many others are ongoing. As a result, multiple reports have been filed with the prosecutor’s office, with more expected.
Orlen emphasized that its new strategy aims to recover from past losses and strengthen the company’s growth, independence, and energy security under the current management.
