Poland, October 1, 2023 - As the academic year 2023/24 kicks off in Poland, over 1.2 million students are set to attend more than 350 universities across the country. The Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN) plans to boost funding for universities, develop Vocational Skills Centers, and enhance the internationalization of Polish education.

Notably, there has been a significant rise in international students, with 105,400 studying in Poland, marking a 17.9% increase from the previous year. Most of these students are from European countries, with a substantial number coming from Ukraine, Belarus, and Turkey. This influx reflects Poland's growing appeal as a destination for higher education. The MEiN is focusing on initiatives to support students, enhance research, and strengthen international collaborations, emphasizing the country's commitment to global education standards.
