Industrial production in Poland, adjusted by working days, fell in May by 15.3 percent year-on-year, after a decrease of 25.1 percent year-on-year a month earlier, EU statistical office Eurostat reported.
Seasonally adjusted industrial production in the eurozone increased by 12.4 percent month-on-month in May. Throughout the EU, production increased by 11.4 percent in this respect. Market consensus was 14.5 percent month-on-month for the eurozone.
On an annual basis, industrial production fell by 20.9 percent in the euro area and by 20.5 percent across the EU.
The eurozone, officially called the euro area, is a monetary union of 19 of the 27 European Union member states which have adopted the euro as their common currency and sole legal tender.
