Participation in PPK increases by almost 62% at end of July
Participation in Poland’s Employee Capital Plans (PPK) has reached 4.43 mln people, with the average participation rate approaching 62% at the end of July. The number of participants increased by 35,500 during the month, while net assets of PPK target-date funds rose by PLN 2.11 bln m/m to PLN 55.87 bln.
According to PFR TFI management board member Tomasz Orlik, the steady increase shows that employees are becoming more aware of the benefits of long-term saving. Participation is highest at companies with more than 1,000 employees, where it exceeds 91%.
PPK combines employee and employer contributions with state subsidies. PFR emphasizes that long-term, regular saving allows participants to benefit increasingly from investment returns and compound growth, strengthening their financial security in retirement.
