The Pengab index, which measures conditions in the banking industry, rose in April by 1.8 point on a monthly basis to 30.6 points, the Polish Bank Association and research firm Kantar said on Thursday. A significant increase was recorded in housing loans and consumer loans. However, the activity of entrepreneurs on investment and revolving loans markets decreased.
The forecast for the economic situation of households dropped by 3 points m/m to 33 points. The forecast of the country's economic situation decreased by 8 points, while the outlook for the economic situation of the business fell by 6 points m/m.
