PGE Baltica, part of the PGE Group, signed a framework agreement with Projmors Biuro Projektów Budownictwa Morskiego for technical consultancy related to offshore wind energy projects. The scope includes technical advice on port infrastructure for offshore wind farms, economic and technical analyses, cost estimates, and project documentation reviews. The consultancy will also assist in procurement procedures, project management, and geotechnical studies.
The Baltica 1 project, with a capacity of around 0.9 GW, is set to begin after 2030. PGE's other projects, Baltica 2 and Baltica 3, aim to create a 2.5 GW offshore wind farm, with completion expected by 2027 and 2030, respectively. PGE generates 41% of Poland's net electricity and holds a significant market share in both heat and renewable energy.
