PGE Baltica sees interest from banks in financing Baltica 2 project

PGE Baltica sees significant interest from banks in financing the jointly developed Baltica 2 offshore wind farm project with Ørsted, announced Bartosz Fedurek, CEO of PGE Baltica. Baltica 2, the most advanced project, has completed all necessary permits, administrative decisions, and some contracting. The financial dialogue confirms the project's bankability, with interest from international and private banks. Baltica 2 aims to conclude project finance by the second half of the year, paving the way for the physical construction phase. Baltica 3 requires optimization for economic efficiency.
Baltica 1, operated by PGE Group, aims for auction in 2025, with a capacity of about 0.9 GW to be operational after 2030. Ports like Gdańsk and Ustka play crucial roles in offshore wind energy. Ustka is being prepared as a service port. The Congress focuses on maritime ports, transport, logistics, safety, construction, and marine energy.
