The share of Polish startups focused primarily on artificial intelligence rose from 1.3% among companies founded in 2013–2016 to about 13% among those established in 2023–2026, according to the Polish Economic Institute. This increase of nearly 12 percentage points was the largest among all analyzed sectors. Cybersecurity also expanded strongly, rising from around 1.7% to more than 5%, while cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and health technologies gained ground. The largest decline occurred in media and sports, whose share fell from 27% to 22%.

Gaming, tourism, and communication tools also recorded small decreases. Educational, financial, manufacturing, and space technologies remained broadly stable.
