Freedom24, a European investment platform belonging to the international investment group Freedom Holding Corp., has appointed Piotr Baszak as Managing Director of its Polish branch. In his new role, Baszak will be responsible for implementing the company’s international strategy, further developing its operations in the domestic market, and strengthening the position and brand recognition of Freedom24 in Poland.

Piotr Baszak brings over 25 years of experience in the financial sector. He specializes in strategic management, capital markets, and digital transformation. His expertise includes leading operational teams, risk management, and process optimization in dynamic business environments. Thanks to his broad skill set, Piotr is regarded as an experienced leader who successfully combines strategic vision with tangible business results.

Throughout his professional career, Piotr Baszak has held key roles in domestic financial institutions and investment organizations. He has worked as a corporate dealer and financial expert, and later in executive positions at institutions such as BZ WBK (now Santander Bank Polska) and Citibank.

He also gained experience as a member of management boards at leading financial-sector companies, including XTB and TMS Brokers, where he was responsible for trading, market risk management, delivery of digital transformation projects, development of innovative financial products, and rapid scaling of business operations.

Alongside his career in finance, he has built extensive international experience, working as a strategic advisor with organizations in the United States, European Union countries, and Asia. A significant stage of his career was leading a comprehensive business transformation as CEO of a company operating in the German market, encompassing operational restructuring, process optimization, and implementation of a modern management model—resulting in sustainable growth in enterprise value.

The new Managing Director of Freedom24 holds a degree in Finance and Banking from the Wrocław University of Economics. He is also a graduate of an Executive MBA program delivered jointly by London Business School, HEC Paris, NHH Norwegian School of Economics, and the Warsaw University of Technology.
