PKO BP reaches PLN 100 bln valuation, first time in history

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, PKO Bank Polski’s market capitalization exceeded PLN 100 billion for the first time in history, making it the largest company in the WIG20 index. Orlen follows with nearly PLN 80 billion, while Santander Bank Polska ranks third at around PLN 60 billion.
PKO BP shares have surged nearly 35% since the beginning of the year, reaching over PLN 80 per share. In 2024, the bank recorded a consolidated net profit of PLN 9.3 billion, a 69% increase year-over-year. This strong financial performance enables a substantial dividend payout. The Financial Supervision Authority confirmed PKO BP’s eligibility to distribute up to 75% of its annual profit, ensuring a balance between shareholder rewards and development investments.
